REDSHIRT-SENIOR SEASON (2018): Posted a career and season high in kills to open the season vs. Wright State, Aug. 24th with 17 kills...Hit a season high .636 vs. Wichita State on Nov. 18th, recognized by AAC for hitting percentage vs. Memphis on Nov. 9th, .600...Concludes her college career at UConn with 340 sets played, 96 matches played, 677 kills, .203 hitting percentage, 147 digs, seven solo blocks, 126 block assists, 133 total blocks, and 748 points.
AS A SENIOR (2017): Played in five matched before sitting out the season due to an injury … earned a medical redshirt and will return for the 2018 season … picked up 45 kills … notched 2.65 kills per set … totaled nine digs.
AS A JUNIOR (2016): Started 11 matches out of 30 total appearances…Ranked second on the team in kills with 2.40 per set…Hitting percentage of .243 was fifth-best among UConn players…Added 53 digs and 37 blocks throughout the season…Second on the team with 284 points…Named American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Oct. 10 after recording back-to-back 16 kill performances against SMU and Tulsa…11 matches with double-digit kills, including three straight against USF, UCF and Tulsa from Nov. 18-23.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2015): Made 30 appearances for UConn, playing in 94 sets…Finished the season with 140 kill, averaging 1.49 per set…Had three matches with at least 10 kills, including a career-best 12 kills against Temple on Oct. 14…Tallied 32 digs and posted 40 blocks...Named to 2015-16 American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team.
Before UConn:Â A Iowa transfer and member of the Fusion Volleyball Club, Cabel played four seasons of volleyball under head coach Kyle Condon at Assumption High School, earning a pair of First Team All-MAC honors. After securing a nod as a 2010 All-MAC honorable mention, she was placed on the conference's second team during her sophomore season. In addition to earning All-Conference First Team honors in 2013, she was tabbed as an Iowa Class 3A First Team member. She helped lead her team to state tournament appearances in both 2012 and 2013 and earned a spot on the 2013 Class 3A All-State Tournament team. Off the court, she was a two-year member of the National Honors Society and was placed on the High Honor Roll in each of her four years at Assumption.Â
