While at UConn: Will serve as 2022-23 team co-captain with Adama Sanogo... Made a major jump from freshman to sophomore season, becoming a starting guard, more than doubling his scoring and rebounding average, and improving in virtually every offensive category, including a leap in 3-point shooting percentage from .118 to .361… Has played 49 games at UConn, starting 34, and averaging 5.4 points and 5.5 rebounds per game… One of two returning starters in 2022-23 and likely to assume role as team leader… Named to BIG EAST All-Academic Team… Enters 2022-23 with longest active streak of consecutive games played with 45.
As a Sophomore in 2021-22: Started every game in 2021-22, except on Senior Day…Averaged 6.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, shot .426 overall and .361 from three-point range, all vast improvements from his freshman year… Led the team in steals (1.2) and defensive rebounds (5.5) and was second in assists (3.1)… Had seven double-figure scoring games and six double-figure rebounding games, including a career-high 16 rebounds at St. John’s… Had career-high 8 assists vs. Seton Hall… Had first career double-double vs. Butler.
As a Freshman in 2020-21: Appeared in 16 games, starting two, despite missing six weeks (seven games) from end of December to beginning of February with a left wrist injury… Averaged 2.7 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 16.0 minutes per game... Played nearly 20 minutes in season opener and handed out season-high 6 assists... Made first career start at Xavier (2/13/21)... Had season-highs of 8 points and 8 rebounds against Marquette (2/27/21)... Shot 90.0 percent from foul line.
Before College: A Top 50 recruit who came to UConn after spectacular four-year career at Albany Academy under Coach Brian Fruscio. As a senior, averaged 18.8 points, 10.0 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 3.0 steals, with a .680 field goal percentage and a .450 fg percentage from three-point range, leading Albany Academy to No. 1 ranking in N.Y. State Federation Class A... Named NY Sports Writers Association Class A Player of the Year... Led team to three straight Class A Federation Tournament of Champions finals and to titles in 2017 and 2019 (2020 Championship was cancelled)... Also starred for Albany City Rocks AAU team on the Nike EYBL circuit under Coach Jimmy Hart, averaging 16.5 ppg and 7.0 rpg at the Peach Jam Invitational... Played on USA Select team at the 2018 Albert Schweitzer Tournament in Germany.

Mom Tricia played basketball at Fulton-Montgomery CC and is a former amateur boxer. Dad Andre also played at Fulton-Montgomery and later at Mercy College... Carried a 4.0 GPA during the first trimester as a senior at Albany Academy.
