Mike Moyseenko who recently completed his first season on the offensive staff at UConn as a quality control coach, has been promoted to quarterbacks coach, as announced by head coach Randy Edsall on February 8, 2019
Moyseenko briefly served as running backs coach following the departure of Terry Richardson in January of 2019.
“I am pleased to promote Mike to running backs coach,” Edsall said. “Mike has been a valuable member of the offensive staff over the last year and assumes this position with a full understanding of our offense. He possesses outstanding interpersonal skills and has established positive relationships with the student-athletes on our team. These skills will allow him to excel and represent the University of Connecticut extremely well on the recruiting trail.”
Moyseenko came to UConn after spending the previous four seasons as the wide receivers coach at Towson University. Moyseenko served as the offensive quality control coach at Towson during the 2013 season.
Prior to his time at Towson, Moyseenko served as the wide receivers coach at Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, W.Va.
From 2008-2010, he served as the offensive coordinator for the Baltimore Mariners of the American Indoor Football Association with the Mariners posting a perfect 16-0 record en route to winning the AIFA Championship in 2010.
Following his stint with the Mariners, Moyseenko was the quarterbacks coach for Good Counsel High School in Olney, Md. Good Counsel earned the WCAC Championship and finished the season ranked No. 4 nationally in 2011.
Moyseenko walked on to the University of Maryland football team as a quarterback and worked with the offensive scout team during the 2003 and 2004 seasons. He finished his final two years as an undergrad working as student assistant for the Terps.
Moyseenko earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from Maryland in 2007.
