Six Huskies Placed on HERO Sports Group of Five All-American Teams

STORRS, CT – The UConn Huskies placed six players on the 2025 HERO Sports Group of Five All-American team announced on Friday. Leading the way was wide receiver Skyler Bell (Bronx, NY) and linebacker Bryun Parham (Long Beach, CA) who earned spots on the first team.
Playing their way onto the second team was quarterback Joe Fagnano (Williamsport, PA) and offensive tackle Ben Murawski (Harleysville, PA) while running back Cam Edwards (Norwalk, CT) and kicker Chris Freeman (Zionsville, PA) were on the third team.
Bell, who was named to the Walter Camp Foot ball Foundation All-American team on Friday, finished the season with 101 catches for 1,278 yards and 13 touchdowns. Parham led the Huskies in tackles, making 116 stops, including 14.5 for a loss and 10.5 sacks. He forced three fumbles, recovered two and had an interception.
Fagnano led the offense, throwing for 3,448 yards, and tossing 28 touchdowns against just one interceptions. The UConn passing attack averaged 301.1 yards per game, sixth in the nation. Murawski, who started all 12 games at left tackle, helped an offensive line that allowed just 1.25 sacks per game, 18th in the NCAA, and a running game that average 159.0 yards per game.
Edwards led the running game and finished with 1,132 yards and 14 touchdowns. He became the first Husky since 2019 to eclipse the 1,000 yard mark for a season. Freeman finished the year 22-of-25 on field goal attempts, with a long of 50 yards and a streak of 12-straight makes, setting a new UConn school record. He finished the year a perfect 51-51 on extra points and totaled 117 points for the season.
UConn finished the season with nine wins for the second-straight season and will head to the Wasabi Fenway Bowl on December 27 against Army with a chance for just the second 10-win season in program history.
