Before UConn: Spent three years at Grand Canyon (2021-24) playing for his uncle Bryce Drew before a season at Valparaiso (2024-25), most recently appearing in 29 games with 22 starts at Northern Arizona in 2025-26…at NAU last season he averaged 8.1 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.0 ‘stocks’ in 18.3 minutes per game while posting a 46.4 / 46.4 / 81.1 shooting line…played in 29 games for the Lumberjacks and made 22 starts…started his career as a redshirt at GCU in 2021-22, then played in only seven games the next year before an injury forced a medical redshirt..in ’23-24 he averaged 2.6 points and 0.9 rebounds in 7.9 minutes per game before graduating in three years from Grand Canyon and moving to Valparaiso…as a redshirt sophomore at Valpo in 2024-25, Shaw played in 33 games with three starts and averaged 4.8 points and 1.5 rebounds… spent the 2020-21 season at Phoenix Prep... averaged 17.5 points per game, 6.5 rebounds per game and shot 40 percent from 3-point range at Davidson Academy in Nashville, Tenn. in 2019-20 while being coached by his father Casey.

Personal: Isaiah Shaw….born Oct. 14, 2001…son of Dana Shaw and Casey Shaw…has an older sister, Anna, and two younger brothers, Caleb and Luke…mother is a member of the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame and Toledo Hall of Fame after setting the all-time records in Points and assists for the Rockets…father was a second-round pick in the 1998 NBA Draft of the Philadelphia 76ers before a lengthy overseas career…Dana is the son of legendary Valparaiso coach Homer Drew and brother of Scott and Bryce Drew, the current head coaches of Baylor and Grand Canyon, respectively…also played tennis in high school.
