Before College: One of four true freshmen on the 2021-22 roster... Physically strong, tough, hard-working combination guard who has drawn raves from coaches because of his work ethic, how coachable he is, his unselfishness and his winning attitude... Displays outstanding athleticism, good shooting ability from mid- and long-range and improving ballhandling... Comes to UConn after starring for three seasons at Roselle (N.J.) Catholic High School under Coach Dave Boff and for AAU Team Final under Coach James Johns... As a junior in an abbreviated 2020-21 high school season, averaged 16.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.7 assists to lead Roselle to a 12-3 record and the No. 3 ranking in the N.J.com Top 20. That followed his strong sophomore season in 2019-20, when he averaged 11.1 points and 2.6 assists to help Roselle to a 22-7 record and the North Non-Public B championship... In July, he helped lead Team Final to the prestigious Peach Jam championship in South Carolina with 12 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds in the championship game...Originally part of UConn’s top 10 recruiting class of 2022, decided to take extra classes during the summer and graduate early, reclassifying to the class of 2021 and entering UConn this fall... Was ranked No. 11 shooting guard in Class of 2022... Chose UConn over offers from Rutgers, Providence, Auburn, Florida, Wake Forest, Miami and Villanova.
Personal Information: Corey Andrew Floyd Jr.... Born January 14, 2004... Son of Trish Littles-Floyd and Corey Floyd Sr.... Has two older sisters, Rayne Littles and Ayanna Glasco... Father played at Providence for two years and was a teammate of UConn Coach Dan Hurley on the New Jersey Roadrunners AAU Team in the late 1980s.
