2025-26 (redshirt-senior season at UConn): Appeared in all 40 games, making his lone two starts in the first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament...a key spark as the first guard off the bench who averaged 3.6 points and 3.0 assists per game, shooting 44.7 percent from three and adding 30 steals...scored 14 points vs. UMass Lowell on Nov. 7...tallied season-highs of 14 points and nine assists in the SentinelOne Showdown at Madison Square Garden against No. 13 Illinois (Nov. 28)… showed some more MSG magic in his hometown in the Jimmy V Classic vs. No. 18 Florida, helping the Huskies avenge an NCAA loss the season prior by matching his season-high with nine assists...hit four threes to score 12 points and added seven assists against Providence (Jan. 27)… started the first two games of the 2026 NCAA Tournament and finished the six-game March Madness run with 26 assists against five turnovers...opened the Big Dance with seven assists against Furman (March 20)...doled out seven assists and snagged a season-high four steals in NCAA Tournament win over three-seed Michigan State (March 27)...scored nine points to
Before UConn: Spent the 2021-25 at Dayton, playing in 86 games with 77 starts...holds career averages of 9.3 points, 5.3 asissts and 3.3 rebounds per game...is a 41.1 percent career shooter from the floor and hits at 38.8 percent from 3-point range...as a redshirt junior in ’24-25, had his most productive season, starting 31 of 33 games played and posting a career-high 10.4 points with 5.3 assists in 27.8 minutes per game...ranked 14th nationally in assist rate and at the conclusion of the season was 12th among active players in career assists per game (5.3) and eighth among all D-1 players in career assist/turnover ratio (2.63)...as a freshman in ’21-22 he led the Flyers with 175 assists, second most for a rookie in program history...prior to matriculating at Dayton, was a standout at St. Raymond High School for Boys in the Bronx and led the program to the 2020 NYCHSAA AA regular season championship...was a First Team All-CHSAA pick and Third Team All-New York after his junior season before his senior year canceled by the pandemic...on the AAU circuit, Smith starred with the New York Gauchos.
