Before UConn:
Comes to UConn with one year of eligibility remaining following two successful seasons at Duquesne University, where he transfered after starting his college career at the University of Nebraska... Outstanding student who earned his degree in Sports Marketing from Duquesne... In three college seasons, has played 95 games, scored 810 points (8.5), grabbed 257 rebounds (2.7) and handed out 223 assists (2.3)... Named the Atlantic 10 Sixth Man of the Year for the 2017-18 season... Graduated from St. Anthony High School in Jersey City, N.J., where he played for UConn Coach Dan Hurley’s father, Hall of Fame Coach Bob Hurley.
As a Senior in 2017-18 (at Duquesne):
Played in all 32 games, starting four, and averaged 12.4 points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.2 assists, in 28.5 minutes per game... Led team in free throw attempts, second in assists, third in steals... Scored 20 or more in five games, four off the bench... Scored career-high 26 points off bench against Southern Illinois in Las Vegas Classic and was named to Classic All-Tournament Team... Scored 24 points in 28 minutes against St. Bonaventure... Had 21 double-digit games... Named Atlantic 10 Sixth Man of the Year, only second player in Duquesne history to do so.
As a Junior in 2016-17 (at Duquesne):
Started all 32 games, averaging 8.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, and team-high 3.1 assists. Led team in assists (99) and steals (34)... Had 14 double-digit games, including two of 20 or more... Had 22 points, 6 assists, 7 rebounds and 0 turnovers in 36 minutes vs. Jackson State... Scored then-career high 23 points vs. St. Francis and followed with 18 points and five assists against Canisius.
As a Sophomore in 2015-16 (at Duquesne):
Sat out season as a transfer student.
As a Freshman in 2014-15 (at Nebraska):
Saw action in all 31 games, averaging 4.5 points, 1.7 rebounds, 0.7 assists, playing 17.6 minutes per game. Shot 44.5 percent overall, 33.3 percent from three-point range and was Cornhuskers’ fourth-leading scorer... Had season-high 13 points at Ohio State and seven rebounds in season-high 30 minutes at Michigan... Named to Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll and the 2014-15 Tom Osborne Citizenship Team, which requires an athlete in good standing to complete a minimum of six community service/leadership projects during the academic calendar year.
Before College:
Attended St. Anthony High School in Jersey City, N.J., playing for the powerhouse basketball program under legendary Hall of Fame coach Bob Hurley... Was the lone sophomore on the varsity team that went 32-0, ranked No. 1 nationally and won Tournament of Champions title... In his three varsity seasons, team went 85-7... Was a starter for final two years, averaging 15.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists as a senior, earning First Team All-State honors. In his last two years, team won two sectional titles and registered two state runner-up finishes... Was valedictorian of his class and also a member of the National Honor Society.
