2025-26 (as a senior at UConn): One of the nation’s dominant big men...2026 NCAA Tournament East Region Most Outstanding Player...First Team All-BIG EAST...a member of the midseason lists for the Naismith Defensive Player and the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar award…finished his second season in Storrs posting averages of 14.7 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.0 blocks and 2.3 assists per game, while recording a league-leading 60.7 field goal percentage...totaled 14 double-doubles...had an historic NCAA Tournament run, leading the Big Dance with 117 points and 79 rebounds, a 19.5 ppg and 13.2 rpg clip...recorded a double-double (20p-12r) on 9-of-12 shooting with four blocks against UMass Lowell (Nov. 7)… scored 21 points with eight rebounds against BYU (Nov. 15)…scored 20 and grabbed eight rebound at Providence (Jan. 7)...had 15 points, 11 rebounds, three blocks and threesteals against Georgetown (Jan. 17)… tallied 16 points, 10 rebounds, a career-high seven assists and three blocks at Butler (Feb. 11)...scored 20 points with 11 rebounds, six blocks and two steals in the rout over St. John’s (Feb. 25)...scored 17 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in the BIG EAST Tournament Quarterfinals vs. Xavier (March 12)…posted career-highs of 31 points and 27 rebounds in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament vs. Furman (March 20), the first player in 58 years with at least 31 and 27 in an NCAA Tournament game and one of three men to ever record the line...posted another double-double (13p-10r) vs. UCLA in the Second Round (March 22)…scored 20 points with five rebounds and four assists in the Sweet 16 vs. Michigan State (March 27)...was the best player on the floor with 26 points, nine rebounds, three assists, four blocks and two steals in the Elite Eight comeback win over Duke (March 29)...notched a double-double (17p-11r) vs. Illinois (April 4) in the National Semifinals...ended his career with 13 points and 14 rebounds in the title game against Michigan (April 6).
2024-25 (as a junior at UConn): Appeared in all 35 contests, coming off the bench in all but one and earning the BIG EAST Sixth Man Award…averaged 9.6 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.6 blocked shots in 19.9 minutes per game while shooting 67.0 percent from the floor…notched seven double-doubles, including four ‘20 and 10’ games…graded out as a top-12 both offensive rebounder and defensive rebounder per Kenpom…finished third in the BIG EAST in total rebounding…had a game for the record books on March 1 at Providence when he recorded 24 points, 18 rebounds and six blocked shots…it was the lone 24-18-6 performance in 2024-25 across Division-1 and the ninth such in Elias’ recorded history.
Before UConn: Spent two years at Michigan, appearing in 66 games for the Wolverines… posted averages of 6.1 points and 5.5 rebounds per game during his time at UM…was a regular starter as a sophomore in 2023-24, scoring 9.0 points with 7.2 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game in 31 starts…prior to enrolling at Michigan, prepped at Chaminade College Prep for three years before spending his senior year at Link Academy in Branson, Mo….a two-time All-State selection and the 2021 Missouri Basketball Coaches Association Class 6 Player of the Year…participated in both the Jordan Brand Classic and the Iverson Classic following his senior season...on the AAU circuit, played with Mokan Elite and helped his squad to a third-place finish at 2021 EYBL Nationals.
