NEW YORK – UConn men's basketball redshirt senior Alex Karabanhas been named BIG EAST Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday (Nov. 17). Karaban led UConn to a 2-0 week with wins over Columbia and No. 7 BYU, averaging 20.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.0 blocks.
