Before UConn: Birmingham played a season for the St. Louis Bandits of the NAHL... Earned a spot on the NAHL Central Division All-Star Team in 2011-12 and finished seventh in total points in the NAHL regular season, tallying 24 goals and 45 assists for 69 points in 60 games... Previously captained the Northfield Mt. Hermon preparatory school in 2010-11.
