2014-2015 (Junior Season): Appeared in 34 games...Made 10 starts...Totalled 45 blocked shots on the season...Was tied for 33rd among Hockey East defensemen in blocked shots.
2013-2014 (Sophomore Season): Appeared in all 36 games...Started 22 of the 36 games...Had six points on a goal and five assists...Led the team with 58 blocked shots (1.61 blk/pg), ranked 17th among Atlantic Hockey leaders...Huson and junior Tyler Cooke were paired-up defensively in 30 of the 36 games this season, leading UConn to a 15-11-4 mark in that stretch...Had the lone UConn goal in a 6-1 loss to Robert Morris at home (Jan. 10)...Recorded an assist in front of family and friends in a 5-3 win at Air Force (Feb. 1).
2012-2013 (Freshman Season): Saw action in all 37 games as a rookie...Registered six points on two goals and four assists...Recorded a goal in back-to-back games against Bentley including the game winner the second day (Feb. 10-11).
Before UConn: Skated alongside classmate Shawn Pauly with the Wenatchee Wild of the NAHL... A left-shot defenseman... Served as an assistant captain in 2011-12 and registered 27 points in 53 games...In 2010-11, had two goals and 11 assists for 13 points in 58 games and a +23 rating.
Personal: Born October 31, 1991...Kyle Jeffrey is the son of Jeff and Wendy Huson...Has a brother Cody (19) and sister Lindsay (26)...His dad played Major League Baseball with seven teamas, Montreal, Texas, Baltimore, Milwaukee, Seattle, Anaheim and the Chicago Cubs from 1988-2000...Sister Lindsay played volleyball at Western State College...a journalism and communications major...a member of WHUS 91.7 FM sports department and is one of the play-by-play voices for UConn baseball.
