Yale Beats Women's Lacrosse, 7-3

NEW HAVEN, CT -- Yale University received a pair of goals from three different players en route to a 7-3 women’s lacrosse decision over the University of Connecticut Wednesday afternoon at Johnson Field. The contest was originally scheduled to be played in Storrs but was moved due to snow.
UConn fell to 1-2 with the loss, while Yale improved to 2-0 with the victory.
Sophomore Heather Bliss (Tully, NY) scored a pair of goals for the Huskies, while junior Pam Lowie (Cortland, NY) added a goal for the Huskies. Kate Flately, Clara Gillespie and Katherine Myers each had two goals for Yale, while Miles Whitman had the final Yale tally.
The Bulldogs never trailed in the contest and scored the final three goals of the contest after UConn had cut its deficit to 4- 3 with seven minutes gone in the second half.
Sophomore April Pollock (North Syracuse, NY) made 15 saves in goal for the Huskies. Amanda Sisley made nine saves for Yale.
UConn returns to action on Saturday, March 24 when it travels to George Mason for a 3:30 p.m. contest.
