Lowie Named Big East Offensive Player of the Week

PROVIDENCE, RI -- University of Connecticut women’s lacrosse player, Pam Lowie (Cortland, NY) was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, March 25, the league office announced today. Lowie scored seven goals in the March 24 overtime loss (9-8) to George Mason.
Lowie, a junior set a new school standard for most goals scored in a game with the seven tallies. Lowie shared the previous record with Abby Morgan (West Chester, PA) with a six-goal effort. Morgan set the mark during the 1998 season vs. Fairfield while Lowie tied the record twice (Quinnipiac; 3/3/00, Johns Hopkins; 5/13/00).
The Huskies return to action on March 27 at 4 p.m. vs. Holy Cross at the George J. Sherman Family Sports Complex.
