UConn Places Two On All-BIG EAST Lacrosse Team

Senior Megan Campbell (Phoenixville, PA) and junior Pamela Lowie (Cortland, NY) were honored with All-BIG EAST Second Team awards on Monday afternoon by the vote of the league's coaches.
Campbell has played and started in all 16 Husky games this season. She recorded nine goals from the midfield position, picking up 33 ground balls, controlled 19 draws and caused a team-leading 20 turnovers.
Lowie had a team-leading 39 goals for 43 points, plus added four assists. She appeared in 14 games, making 13 starts. Lowie collected 26 ground balls and had 26 draw controls.
Georgetown dominated the conference's post season awards. Sheehan Stanwick earned Attack Player of the Year honors, while teammate Caitlin McLean was tabbed as the Defensive Player of the Year. Hoya head coach Kim Simons earned Coach of the Year accolades. Syracuse's Carrie Soults was selected as Midfielder of the Year. Georgetown leads the Big East selections with six overall and four first team members. Syracuse was second with five overall and three first team choices. Rutgers has four overall selections, while Notre Dame owns three.
