Women's Lacrosse Receives Post Season Awards

STORRS, CT--The University of Connecticut women's lacrosse team has been awarded many post season accolades both for on and off the field achievements since the season's end.
The Big East named 10 of the UConn women's lacrosse players to its Big East honor roll awarded at the conclusion of the school year. Lindsay Clarkson (Baldwinsville, NY), Julie Everett (Glenwood, MD), Kristen Joel (Bel Air, MD), Anna Konyukhov (Avon, CT), Pam Lowie (Cortland, NY), Melissa MacDougall (Baldswinville, NY), Abby Morgan (West Chester, PA), Jody Nickerson (Skaneateles, NY), Susan Payne (Penn Yan, NY) and Michelle Wardwell (Norwich, CT) all earned a 3.0 gpa or better for the fall and spring semesters.
Lowie, MacDougall, Megan Campbell (Phoenixville, PA), Bonnie Wehinger (North Syracuse, NY), Heather Bliss (Tully, NY) and Heather Levins (East Northport, NY) were all chosen to represent New England at the US Lacrosse National Tournament which was held at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania over the Memorial Day Weekend. Teams from all over the United States competed in the tournament representing their region.
Head coach Bonnie Rosen just completed her fifth season at the helm of the Huskies. Rosen has been selected to compete in the 2001 World Cup Lacrosse Team. The World Cup will run from July 7-14, 2001 in High Wycombe, England, just outside of London
