For Game vs. Buffalo on September 22

STORRS, CONNECTICUT (September 6, 2001)— A limited number of University of Connecticut Football tickets remain for the September 22 match-up against Buffalo at Memorial Stadium and UConn Football season ticket sales have reached the 7,400 mark, surpassing the previous record by over 2,000 packages.
There are currently only 500 tickets remaining for the University of Connecticut Football contest vs. the University at Buffalo on September 22 at Memorial Stadium.
UConn will open its home schedule on Saturday, September 8 at 1 p.m. at Memorial Stadium in Storrs against Eastern Washington. That game has been sold out for over a week and will be the fourth advance sellout in the history of Connecticut Football. The Huskies sold out the first three home games of the 2000 season.
A limited number of season ticket packages for the five-game home schedule are still available for $60 (Adult/Reserved Seats) and $30 (Youth/Senior Citizens/Reserved Seats). Single game reserved tickets are priced at $14 for adults and $8 for youths/senior citizens. Season Ticket packages offer a savings of $10 off the combined single game ticket price.
The UConn Ticket Office is located on the Storrs campus in the breezeway between the Harry A. Gampel Pavilion and the Hugh S. Greer Field House. Ticket office hours are Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m.. The ticket office can also be reached by phone toll free from anywhere in the U.S. at 1-877-AT-UCONN or by calling 860-486-2724.
Official attendance figures for UConn home football games are not be available until the second half of the contests.
The listed capacity of Memorial Stadium is 16,200 and the all-time single-game record for attendance is 16,632, established in the 2000 season opener vs. Colgate on September 9, 2000.
After the game against Eastern Washington, UConn hosts Buffalo on September 22, Eastern Michigan on October 6, Ball State on October 27 and Utah State on November 10.
