2010 USA Hockey Women's National Festival Roster
STORRS, Conn. - Monique Weber (Rogers, Minn.) of the University of Connecticut women's ice hockey team has been added to the 2010 USA Hockey Women's National Festival roster. Weber will join the 22-player roster in Lake Placid, N.Y. from August 13-21.
She is one of three student-athletes on the roster to represent Hockey East schools and is the lone member of the Huskies to do so. Weber is also one of just nine players selected to participate in the Festival that were not part of the 2009-10 National Team. This is the first time Weber will attend the Festival.
Weber earned All-Hockey East Honorable Mention following her sophomore season, during which she recorded 29 points. Second on the team in overall scoring, she scored 14 goals and added 15 assists. Weber finished the season among the Huskies' leaders in power play scoring with five goals and three gamewinners.
The U.S. Women's Under-18 and Under-22 Select Teams will also be participating in the 2010 USA Hockey Women's National Festival with a schedule expected to be released in early August on USAHockey.com. All practices and scrimmages will be open to the public.
