Fazio And Nolan Named To All-Tournament Team

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Senior midfielder Alyson Fazio (Methuen, Mass.) and sophomore attacker Grace Nolan (Marcellus, N.Y.) were named to the Big East Championship All-Tournament Team Saturday for their performances in the conference semifinals.
Nolan, the Big East Co-Attacker of the Year, led the Huskies with four points (3g, 1a) in the semifinal game against Temple. Nolan scored two of UConn's four first-half goals and assisted on another. She scored her third goal of the game 51 seconds into the second half to tie the game up 5-5. She also recorded two ground balls, one draw control and two caused turnovers.
Fazio also tallied three goals against the Owls in Thursday's semifinal match-up, all three of which came in the last 37 seconds of the game. Her first goal of the night came off a free-position opportunity with 37 seconds on the clock. She scored again with 22 seconds left and again with 10 seconds off two fast breaks off the draws. She also tallied two ground balls and one caused turnover.
Nolan finished first on the team this season with 60 points (44g, 16a) and Fazio finished third on the team in her final season as a Husky with 37 points (24g, 13a).
