STORRS, Conn. - UConn women's lacrosse head coach Katie Woods announced Wednesday the addition of Jenna Ross to the Huskies' coaching staff as an assistant coach.
"I'm extremely excited to welcome Jenna to UConn," Woods said, "She has the passion, the work ethic, and the skills that will be a great asset to our program."
Ross, who previously served as an assistant lacrosse coach at Tufts University, joins third year assistant Lauren Gunning on Woods' staff.
After joining the Jumbos staff in 2012, Ross was primarily in charge of goalkeeper development. During her time with the program the team made three NESCAC tournament appearances and one NCAA Tournament trip, advancing to the Sweet Sixteen, which matched the furthest any team had gone in program history.
A 2010 graduate from Connecticut College, Ross played both lacrosse and soccer during her time as a Camel. An All-NESCAC goalkeeper in lacrosse in 2008, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development. In 2014, Ross completed her graduate degree from Tufts with a Master's of Educational Studies.
