STORRS, Conn. - The UConn women's lacrosse team welcomes Big East rival Georgetown to the George J. Sherman Family Sports Complex on Saturday, March 25 for a 1 p.m. draw.
UConn (3-5, 0-1 Big East) started off 0-1 in conference play, after dropping a 20-10 decision to the No. 3 ranked Florida Gators. The Huskies kept it close in the first half and only trailed by four at the halftime break, but Florida outscored UConn 11-5 in second half to pull ahead in the end.

UConn is 2-0 against Georgetown in their last two meetings. The Huskies picked up their first-ever victory over the Hoyas in 2015. Last season, UConn pulled out an exciting last-minute win after Grace Nolan scored with 17 seconds on the clock to put the Huskies on top 9-8.

After opening conference play with an 18-2 victory against Butler, Georgetown most recently suffered a loss to Loyola Maryland to drop to 3-6 overall. Georgetown did not score a goal in the first half against Loyola Maryland as the Hoyas trailed the Greyhounds 6-0 at halftime. Georgetown outscored Loyola 7-5 in the second half, but it was not enough to overtake the Greyhounds for the win.
