STORRS, Conn. - After picking up its first Big East win against Butler on Saturday, the UConn women's lacrosse team returns to the George J. Sherman Family Sports Complex on Wednesday, April 12 to host Marquette at noon.
The first 150 fans in attendance at Wednesday's game will receive a free UConn bucket hat.
UConn (4-8, 1-4 Big East) earned its first league win of the year after cruising past Butler 17-4 on Saturday. The Huskies outscored the Bulldogs 13-2 in the first half. Junior Grace Nolan (Marcellus, N.Y.) led the team with six points, which included four goals and two assists.
Nolan eclipsed the 100-career goal milestone with her four-goal performance against the Bulldogs on Saturday.

The Huskies are undefeated 4-0 in the all-time series against the Golden Eagles. The series between the two began in 2013 and the first three meetings were played on UConn's home turf. Last year, UConn traveled to Marquette for the first time of the series and claimed a 15-13 victory at Valley Fields in Milwaukee.

Marquette opened conference play 1-0 with a win over Cincinnati. It has since been up and down for the Golden Eagles after they lost to Temple 17-16 in overtime, defeated Villanova 20-6 and then dropped back-to-back losses to No. 3 Florida and No. 13 Denver.

After only scoring four goals in the first half against the Pioneers, Marquette battled back in the second half, but was overcome by Denver in the end 18-12. Leading scorer Julianna Shearer tallied four goals against the Pioneers; she has a total of 39 this season.
