No. 5 Huskies Travel to No. 24 BU

STORRS, Conn. – The No. 5 UConn field hockey team (13-3) returns to the road to face No. 24 Boston University (8-5) Sunday at 1 p.m.
UConn Wins BIG EAST Regular Season Championship
For the sixth straight season and 18th time overall, the Huskies won the BIG EAST regular season championship. UConn is 6-0 in conference play this year and the team has won 31 straight BIG EAST regular season games, dating back to 2013. The Huskies will be the No. 1 overall seed in the upcoming BIG EAST Tournament.
Last Time Out
Redshirt senior Cecile Pieper notched five points (1G, 3A) as the Huskies beat No. 19 Liberty, 6-1, Thursday evening. Freshman Maddy Wray, sophomore Kourtney Kennedy, junior Antonia Tiedtke, junior Svea Boker and sophomore Vivienne Tucker also scored for UConn. Redshirt freshman Cheyenne Sprecher made seven saves.
The UConn offense clicked against the Flames as the Huskies took a 4-0 lead at halftime.
Scouting the Terriers
Boston University is coming off a 3-2 double overtime win at Bucknell last Saturday. The Terriers will face Lehigh Saturday before taking on UConn Sunday. Petra Hall and Ailsa Connolly lead BU with six goals and 14 points each. Ally Hammel has the team lead with five assists. Kathleen Keegan has started all 13 games in goal and holds a 1.96 goals-against average and a .569 save percentage.
Last season, UConn beat BU, 8-1, in Storrs.

UConn is on the road for the team's remaining three games of the regular season. This season, the Huskies are 6-0 in road games, and they have outscored opponents 28-8 away from home.
