UConn Entertains UNH in Sunday Afternoon Tilt

STORRS, Conn. – The UConn men's basketball team continues its three-game homestand at the XL Center in Hartford by entertaining longtime New England rival New Hampshire. The game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. tipoff and will be televised by SNY.

What to Know
- UConn leads the all-time series 93-25. The Huskies won last season's matchup in dominating fashion, routing the Wildcats by 25.
- UConn (7-3) is coming off a 66-56 non-conference victory over Saint Peter's on Wednesday in Hartford, its fourth win in its last five games.
- The Huskies have three double-figure scorers, led by senior Christian Vital (13.4) and including juniors Josh Carlton (12.3) and Tyler Polley (10.8). Vital (7.7) and Carlton (7.5) are also the top two rebounders, while redshirt junior Alterique Gilbert leads in assists (5.1) and redshirt freshman Akok Akok is tops in blocked shots (3.2).
- New Hampshire (6-5), out of the America East Conference, is coming off a 64-56 win at Marist on Wednesday. The Wildcats are led in scoring by soph Nick Guadarrama (15.5), while junior Sean Sutherlin is the leading rebounder (10.2) and soph Marque Maultsby is tops in assists (3.2).
Leading the Pack
Dan Hurley begins his second season as head coach of the UConn men's basketball team. Hurley became the 19th head coach in the history of UConn men's basketball on March 22, 2018. Prior to his hiring, he spent two seasons at Wagner College and six at the University of Rhode Island, and owns a collegiate coaching record of 167- 122 (.578). Hurley made two consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances (2016-17, 2017-18) and was named the 2017-18 Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year.
