UConn Women’s Hockey to Face Boston College in Hockey East Quarterfinal

STORRS, Conn. – After the last few games wrapped up Saturday afternoon, the official playoff pairings for the 2019 Hockey East playoffs have been finalized, as announced by the conference. The UConn women's hockey team, who enter the postseason as the seventh seed for the second consecutive season, will face the second-seeded Boston College Eagles in the best-of-three quarterfinal round.

Despite going 0-3 against BC during the regular season, the Huskies have experienced recent success against the Eagles in the playoffs. In last season's meeting, UConn upset BC, 4-2, in the quarterfinal round to advance to the Hockey East Championship game. Senior forward Nora Maclaine tallied the game-winning goal for the Huskies.
UConn finished the regular season with an overall record of 14-16-4.
