UConn’s great effort on Day One of the 2019 Pepsi Florida Relays

GAINESVILLE, Fla.—The UConn women's track and field team took on competitors at the 2019 Pepsi Florida Relays. The Huskies put together an impressive effort on Day One against an incredibly talented field.
UConn contended in the 200 Meter Dash and the 5000 Meter Run on Thursday. The senior Kat Surin led the field in the 200 Meter Dash for UConn with an effort of 24.18 at 28th. Sophomore Taylor Woods and freshman Dejanee Parms competed alongside Surin with finishes of 24.62—54th and 24.87—68th.
In the 5000 Meter Run, senior Haley Hasty posted a top-15 finish at 17:18.91. Also competing in the run was junior Danielle Jordan who finished 22nd—17:32.73.
