No. 22 Huskies Lose to Fairfield, 10-3

STORRS, Conn. - The No. 22 UConn baseball team lost to Fairfield, 10-3, on Tuesday afternoon at J.O. Christian Field.
The Huskies gave up a season-high 19 hits and never led after the Stags scored three runs in the first and second inning.Â
UConn responded to the Fairfield three-run first inning with a pair of runs in the bottom half. Chris Winkel drilled a two-run double into centerfield to cut the margin to one but that is as close as the Huskies would get.
John Toppa (2-2) recorded a multi-hit game for the Huskies while Anthony Prato reached base twice to extend his reach base streak to 33 games in a row.
The Huskies look to regroup on Wednesday with a home date against UMass Lowell at 3 p.m. The game will be on WPOP 1410 AM & 100.9 FM with Mike Crispino on the call.
