Watson Named Preseason All-AAC

STORRS, Conn. – The American Athletic Conference has revealed the 2020 preseason poll and announced the preseason all-conference team selections.
Junior Sydney Watson was a unanimous selection for the AAC Preseason All-Conference Team. Watson was named to the 2019 All-AAC First Team and 2019 IWLCA All-Northeast Region Second Team after leading the Huskies with 39 goals, 51 points, and 92 draw controls last season.
The Huskies were picked to finish 5th in the conference. Florida and Cincinnati grabbed the top spots, both receiving first place votes. Vanderbilt and Temple were picked third and fourth respectively, while East Carolina was picked sixth.
The Huskies finished 5th in the American last season with a 1-4 mark in conference play.
UConn begins the 2020 season February 12th against Fairfield at the Sherman family sports complex.
