STORRS, Conn. – The UConn men's basketball team begins a busy month of February (nine games, five on the road) with back-to-back road games, starting at Memphis to meet the preseason AAC favorite Tigers at FedExForum. The game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. (EDT) tipoff and will be televised by CBS.

What to Know
- In 14 all-time meetings between the schools, the Huskies and Tigers have each won seven times.
- UConn (11-9 overall, 2-5 American) is coming off a 78-63 home victory over Temple on Wednesday, which snapped a four-game slide.
- The Huskies are led in scoring (14.1) and rebounding (6.9) by senior Christian Vital, with freshman James Bouknight (9.9) one point shy of also averaging in double figures. Redshirt junior Alterique Gilbert leads in assists (4.6), while redshirt freshman Akok Akok is tops in blocked shots (3.05).
- Memphis (15-5, 4-3) is coming off a 59-57 road win at UCF on Wednesday, which broke a two-game losing streak. The Tigers are led in scoring (15.2), rebounding (10.3) and blocked shots (1.9) by freshman Precious Achiuwa, with freshman D.J. Jeffries also averaging double figures (10.8). Sophomore Alex Lomax hands out the most assists (4.5).
Leading the Pack
Dan Hurley begins his second season as head coach of the UConn men's basketball team. Hurley became the 19th head coach in the history of UConn men's basketball on March 22, 2018. Prior to his hiring, he spent two seasons at Wagner College and six at the University of Rhode Island and owns a collegiate coaching record of 167- 122 (.578). Hurley made two consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances (2016-17, 2017-18) and was named the 2017-18 Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year.

UConn will begin its second half of round-robin AAC games with a visit to Tulsa to meet the Golden Hurricane at the Reynolds Center, on Thursday, Feb. 6. The game tips off at 7 p.m. and will be televised on either ESPN or ESPN2.
