Huskies to Host Merrimack, Honor 2020 Class This Weekend

STORRS, Conn. – The UConn women's hockey team (15-13-2, 12-9-2 WHEA) closes out the home portion of conference action this weekend, as they prepare to host the Merrimack Warriors (4-21-5, 1-17-5 WHEA) in a Hockey East home series. Friday night's tilt is slated for 6 p.m., while Saturday is set for a 3 p.m. puckdrop.
There will be a Valentine's Day chocolate bar giveaway Friday night while Saturday is Senior Night! Prior to puck drop, the Huskies will honors its senior class – Morgan Fisher, Tristyn Svetek, Briana Colangelo, Catherine Crawley, Leona Sim and Jessie Aney - for their contributions both on and off the ice. Come out and show your support!

What to Know:
- UConn is 7-4-2 all-time against the Warriors. The Huskies won the first meeting this season in overtime, 4-3.
- Catherine Crawley (12g, 15a) and Natalie Snodgrass (11g, 16a) are tied for a team-high 27 points with Briana Colangelo (7g, 14a) close behind in third. Taylor Wabick (15) Morgan Wabick (15), Danielle Fox (14), Savannah Bouzide (10) and Viki Harkness are the other six Huskies with double figure points.
- Morgan Fisher holds an 8-10-2 record in goal, with seven wins in conference play—with Samantha Carpentier-Yelle holding a 7-3-0 record in 11 starts, with five wins in conference play. Fisher has a .918 save percentage and 2.15 GAA, while Carpentier-Yelle has a 1.70 GAA and .929 save percentage.
- Merrimack comes into the weekend after skating to a 2-2 draw with New Hampshire on Saturday.
Leading the Pack:
Chris MacKenzie enters his eighth season leading the UConn women's hockey team. MacKenzie has won over 100 games during his time at UConn and has been an instrumental part in turning the program around. In 2015-16, Mackenzie coached UConn to their first winning season since 2010.
