BSB Plays First Midweek at Hartford

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - The UConn baseball team (7-5) plays its first midweek game of the season at the University of Hartford on Tuesday, March 10 at 3 p.m. The game can be heard on WUCS 97.9 ESPN Hartford with Mike Crispino and Adam Giardino along with 91.7 FM WHUS with Chris Jones on the call.
The Huskies enter Tuesday's tilt winner's of four in a row after sweeping Presbyterian this past weekend in Clinton, S.C. UConn came from behind in the series finale with three runs in the ninth to stun the Blue Hose and push its record to 7-5.
UConn is 42-16 all-time against Hartford and have won the last three games in the contest. The Huskies travel to Fiondella Field, a place the Huskies have lost three in a row. The last win came in 2013 in West Hartford.
Last year the Huskies utilized a seven-run second inning to carry them to a 12-4 victory at J.O. Christian Field. Paul Gozzo had a pair of hits and drove in two in the victory while Kenny Haus earned the win with 5.0 innings of work of one run ball.
Kyler Fedko (.426) and Reggie Crawford (.388) enter Tuesday's contest at the top of The American conference in batting average with Crawford riding an 11-game hit streak.
