LaPrise Earns AAC Weekly Honors

STORRS, Conn. – For the second straight week, sophomore Lia LaPrise earned a spot on the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll.
The Huskies had only one game this past week, beating Quinnipiac 21-4 on Friday afternoon at the Sherman Family Complex, to improve to 4-1 on the season. LaPrise tallied a team-high six assists and added a goal. She leads the Huskies with 29 points, recording 11 goals and 18 assists on the year.
LaPrise earns the AAC Weekly Honor Roll for the second straight week and put her name in the UConn lacrosse history books. With six assists against the Bobcats, LaPrise is now tied for second for most assists in a game with former Husky Shannon Burke. Burke also holds the number spot on the list with seven assists against CCSU in the 2007 season.
The Huskies return to action Saturday, March 7th as UMass Amherst comes to Storrs. The opening draw is scheduled for 1:00pm at the Sherman Family Complex.
