STORRS, Conn. – Grace Beshlian and Alyssa Conklin will return to the UConn women's lacrosse program for the 2021 season as announced by head coach Katie Woods. Both will return after the NCAA's decision to grant spring athletes another year of eligibility.
"I am so excited that both will continue to be involved with the program during their Master's year," said head coach Katie Woods. "Alyssa had such a strong start to this year and was a great defensive leader for us. We're excited for her to be back and impact our program for another year."
Conklin will return and compete in her fifth year with the program. She will continue her education as she pursues a Master's Degree in the Neag School of Education.
"Grace has such a passion for the game and for this team and I'm very much looking forward to working with her in this new role. This will be a great opportunity for her to get some experience in a coaching role."
Beshlian will return to the team in a new role as a student assistant coach. She will work with the team's goalkeepers and defense, playing an integral part of team practices, game preparation, and game management. Beshlian will also continue her education as a full-time student, pursuing a Master's Degree in the Neag School of Education.
