Chan Named Hockey East Rookie of the Week

STORRS, Conn. - Freshman goaltender Tia Chan has been named Hockey East Rookie of the Week after making 24 saves in a shutout win against New Hampshire on Saturday night.

Chan is the second Husky to earn Rookie of the Week honors this season after Jada Habisch captured the award after a weekend against Merrimack (Dec. 18-19)

Chan is now 3-2-1 with a 1.32 GAA that has featured two shutouts in six starts.
