UConn Takes on Providence Thursday

STORRS, Conn. – The UConn women's soccer team (8-6-0, 4-3-0 BIG EAST) looks to keep its winning ways at Providence (8-5-2, 3-3-1) Thursday at 6 p.m.
The Huskies are on a two-game win streak after a couple double overtime wins last week. UConn most recently beat UConn 1-0, with Jada Konte scoring the game winner.
Jaydah Bedoya was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week on Monday after helping the Huskies to a 2-0 week. Bedoya scored twice in UConn's 3-2 win vs. Creighton before assisting on the Konte game winner vs. Villanova.
Kaitlyn Mahone was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after going 2-0-0 last week with an .818 save percentage and 0.86 GAA. She made eight saves in the shutout vs. Villanova.
The Huskies' final regular season game at Morrone Stadium is Sunday vs. Xavier at 1 p.m. UConn will honor Rachel Marchini, Halle Palmedo, Kara Long, Isabelle Lynch, Kelsey Kohler and Duda Santin on Senior Day.
Providence is coming off a 1-0 loss at St. John's last Sunday. This season, Meg Hughes leads the Friars with eight goals and 19 points. Emma Bodmer has started all 15 games in goal and holds a 1.03 goals-against average and .792 save percentage.
UConn is 29-4-1 all-time vs. Providence. Last season, the teams split their series, each winning at home.
