Huskies Travel To Merrimack Friday

STORRS, Conn. – The University of Connecticut women's hockey team (6-0. 2-0 HEA) will travel to North Andover, Mass. to take on the Merrimack College Warriors (0-6-1, 0-2-1 HEA) Friday afternoon. Puck drop is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. at Lawler Rink.
Last Time Out
UConn enters Fridays contest undefeated having last defeated The University of Maine and Merrimack College last weekend. Senior goaltender Samantha Carpentier-Yelle led the way for the huskies saving 49 of 52 shots earning her Hockey East Goaltender of the Week honors. Senior Danielle Fox also tallied one goal and one assist.
Scouting the Warriors
Merrimack welcomes UConn following a 5-3 loss to the Huskies (6-0, 2-0 HEA). Prior to the one game loss verse UConn, the Warriors tied Boston University (3-0-2, 3-0-2 HEA) 4-4. Katie Kaufman leads the Warriors with three goals and four total points through seven games. Thirteen other players have tallied at least one point this season so far.

UConn holds a 12-5-3 overall record against Merrimack with a 4-3-1 mark on the road.
