WHOC TIes Maine, 4-4, Loses in Shootout

STORRS, Conn. - The UConn women's hockey team tied Maine, 4-4, and then lost 1-0 in a shootout on Saturday afternoon at the Freitas Ice Forum.
Rahel Enzler scored the lone goal in the best-of-three shootout to give the Black Bears a shootout victory.
The Huskies trailed late into the third period, 4-3, before Viki Harkness slotted a pass in front towards Jada Habisch and Habisch was able to direct home with 1:46 remaining.
UConn scored three of its four goals on the power play on Saturday with a total of 21 shots with an extra skater.
The Huskies trailed 3-1 late in the third period but Summer-Rae Dobson streaked towards the net and was able to slot home her fifth of the season to cut the deficit to 3-2.
Taylor Wabick tied the game just 41 seconds into the third period on a one-timer from the point that made it a 3-3 score.
Claire Peterson started the scoring for the Huskies with a first period tally.
UConn moves to 11-2-1 on the season and 6-2-1 in Hockey East play. They return to the ice on Friday, November 19 against Providence at 6 p.m. at the Freitas Ice Forum
