WSOC Travels to Georgetown

STORRS, Conn. – The UConn women's soccer team (4-1-1, 2-1-1 BE) will travel to Washington, D.C. to take on the Georgetown Hoyas (6-0, 4-0 BE) on Thursday, March 18th, in another important conference matchup. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:00pm at Shaw Field.
Last Time Out
The Huskies enter Thursday's game a decisive 5-0 victory over Seton Hall on Sunday afternoon at Morrone Stadium. Sophomore Jessica Mazo led the way for UConn with two goals, one in each half. Seniors Kess Elmore and Yamilee Eveillard also each added a tally for the Huskies, while junior Isabelle Lynch grabbed her first of the year. Redshirt senior goalkeeper Randi Palacios recorded in fifth shutout of the season in Sunday's win.
Georgetown comes into the contest with an undefeated record both overall and in Big East play. The Hoyas defeated St. John's 1-0 in their last game on Sunday, March 14th. Sophomore Gia Vicari leads the team with five goals and two assists on the year.
Matchup History
UConn holds an 11-4 overall record against the Hoyas, with the last meeting coming on August 27th, 2015. The Huskies came away with a 2-1 victory in Washington, D.C., improving their away record against Georgetown to 4-2 overall.
