WSOC Faces Villanova in Big East Clash

STORRS, Conn. – The UConn women's soccer team (2-1, 0-1) will head to Villanova to take on the Wildcats (1-4, 1-1) on Sunday afternoon. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00pm.
Last Time Out
The Huskies dropped their opening Big East game last time out to Providence by a final score of 2-1 on Thursday afternoon. Senior Sophia Danyko-Kulchycky (Chappaqua, N.Y.) scored the only goal for UConn, her second of the season. Redshirt senior goalkeeper Randi Palacios (Vienna, VA.) made four saves in Thursday's loss.

UConn will look to bounce back and grab its first Big East win of the season on Sunday. The Huskies hold a 16-2-4 record against Villanova with a 6-1-1 away record, with their last win coming on September 23rd, 2012, a 2-1 overtime victory on the road. The last time UConn lost to Villanova was a 1-0 road defeat on September 29, 2006.
