Football Opens 2021 Season with 45-0 Loss at Fresno State

FRESNO, CA -Â The UConn football team suffered a 45-0 loss to Fresno State on Saturday afternoon at Bulldog Stadium.
It was the first football game played for the Huskies since November 30, 2019 at Temple.
Kevin Mensah rushed for 31 yards on 11 attempts passing Wilbur Gilliard on the all-time rushing list at 2,624 yards.
Cam Ross led the Huskies with five receptions while Diamond Harrell led the Huskies on the defensive side of the ball with eight tackles.Â
UConn will play its home opener next Saturday, September 4 at 12 p.m. against Holy Cross.Â
