Huskies Beat Seton Hall, 2-1

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – The UConn women's soccer team (5-4-0, 1-1-0 BIG EAST) notched its first conference win of the season with a 2-1 win over Seton Hall (6-5-0, 1-2-0) Thursday evening.
Jaydah Bedoya scored first at 21:43 off an assist from Halle Palmedo. The goal was Bedoya's second of the season.
Just after halftime, the Pirates evened the score. Sophie McCarthy scored her first career goal at 86:19 off assists from Joyce Ryder and Duda Santin to give UConn a 2-1 lead.
Kaitlyn Mahoney played all 90 minutes in goal and made four saves.
Seton Hall held a 14-9 lead in shots.
The Huskies are back in action at Butler this Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
