Volleyball Primed for Dartmouth Invitational

STORRS, Conn. – At the midpoint in its non-conference slate, the UConn Volleyball team (3-3) will head to New Hampshire for the Dartmouth Invitational, set to take place Sept. 10-11 in Hanover.
The Huskies will start the weekend off with a matchup against Holy Cross (1-6) on Friday night before closing the tournament out the following day against New Hampshire (4-3) and Dartmouth (3-3).
All three matches will be streamed live on ESPN+.
UConn is coming off a 2-1 outing in hosting the UConn Challenge. Senior Kennadie Jake-Turner leads the Big East in hit percentage (.391) and averaged a .488 hit percentage with 21 kills last weekend. Fellow senior Caylee Parker tops the Huskies in kills per set (3.36), which ranks eighth in the conference, and has recorded double-digit kills in four matches.
Parker is 40 kills away from reaching the 1,000 career kills milestone. The senior is on pace to become the 14th Husky in program history to reach the mark and will be the first since Mattison Quayle accomplished the feat in 2012.
SCOUTING HOLY CROSS
The Crusaders are off to a 1-7 start, most recently falling 3-1 to New Hampshire on Wednesday, and dropped all three games at the Bryant Tournament last weekend. Junior Halle Carter leads the team in assists per set (8.14), and senior Skye Daval-Santors holds the top average in digs (3.21) per set.
SCOUTING NEW HAMPSHIRE
New Hampshire improved to 4-3 following Wednesday's triumph over Holy Cross, and went 2-1 at the Holly Young Invitationallast weekend. Senior Abby Sullivan leads the Wildcats in blocks (23) and attack percentage (.342).
SCOUTING DARTMOUTH
Dartmouth is coming off a 3-0 sweep at the Lehigh Steel Tournament to start its season. Sophomore Ellie Blain paced the Big Green in both kills per set (4.58) and aces (4) in her collegiate debut.
