Huskies Welcome Wildcats For Two Game Series

STORRS, Conn. – The University of Connecticut women's hockey team welcomes the University of New Hampshire Wildcats for a two game Hockey East series beginning Monday January 24. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at Freitas Ice Forum in Storrs.
UConn welcomes the Wildcats following a home and home weekend sweep of Boston College. The Huskies posted seven goals in two games while only allowing three. For their performance in back-to-back games senior Samantha Carpentier-Yelle, graduate student Natalie Snodgrass and graduate student Taylor Wabick, all were awarded Hockey East weekly awards.
The Wildcats enter Monday's matchup with an 8-12-2 overall record and a 6-8-1 record in Hockey East action. New Hampshire's last game came on January 8 which featured a 3-1 victory over Providence, which also secured them the weekend sweep. Leading the way for the wildcats is freshman Kira Juodikis who has 10 goals and six assists for 16 points on the year, and sophomore Brianna Brooks, who has six goals and 11 assists for 17 points.
