Huskies Set for Home and Home Series with Merrimack

STORRS, Conn. - Â The University of Connecticut women's hockey team is set to travel to Merrimack College for the first part of a home and home series. UConn will travel to Merrimack Friday October 21, with puck drop at 2:00pm, and will host Merrimack Saturday October 22 with puck drop at 3pm.
UConn enters the matchup with Merrimack posting a 4-3-1 overall record and a 0-3-1 record in Hockey East Action. The Huskies are coming off a 0-1-1 weekend vs. No. 15 Vermont. Eight Huskies are tied for the team lead with two goals. Senior captain, Coryn Tormala currently leads the Huskies with two goals and four assists for six total points.
Scouting Merrimack
 Merrimack enters the matchup with UConn posting a 1-5-0 overall record and an 0-4 record in Hockey East action. Merrimack is coming off an 0-2 weekend which featured losses to Northeastern University. Merrimack is led by Katie Kaufman with two goals and two assists for four points, and Tara Blackburn with one goal and three assists for four points.
