Huskies Set To Host Maine

STORRS, Conn. - The University of Connecticut men's hockey team is set to host the University of Maine for a two-game series Friday November 4 and Saturday November 5. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05pm on Friday and 4:05pm Saturday, with both games being streamed on ESPN+.
UConn enters the matchup vs. the Black Bears ranked No. 8 in the country, their highest ranking in program history. The Huskies post an 7-1-1 overall record and a 4-1-0 record in Hockey East action. UConn's last matchup resulted in a 5-1 victory over Boston College on October 27. The Huskies are led by reigning Hockey East Player of the Month Ryan Tverberg. Tverberg has started the season strong scoring seven goals and dishing out four assists for a total of 11 points. In addition, sophomore Logan Terness has been named Hockey East Goaltender of the Month for the month of October.
Maine enters the matchup vs. the Huskies posting a 2-4-1 overall record, and a 0-1-1 record in Hockey East Action. The Black Bears are coming off an 0-1-1 weekend which featured a 2-2 tie vs. No.15 Northeastern which ended with a Main victory in a shootout, followed by a 4-1 loss to Northeastern. The Black Bears previously split a weekend series vs. No. 3 Quinnipiac, beating them 4-0 followed by a 6-2 loss.
The Black bears are led by Brandon Holt who has scored two goals and dished out three assists for five points Maine has five players on their roster currently tied for the team lead in goals with two.
