HookC Begins Eight Game Trip at Pepperdine

MALIBU, Calif. - The UConn baseball team (9-1) begins its eight-game, 11-day Spring Break trip with a three-game series at Pepperdine (8-4). The series begins at 5 p.m. ET on Friday and continues with 4 p.m. ET starts on Saturday and Sunday. The game will be video streamed on the WCC Network and audio streamed on MIXLR.

UConn enters the weekend riding an eight-game win streak and lead the country with a 7-0 road record.

The Huskies play in Southern California for the first time since 2016 and will play in Malibu against the Waves for the first time in program history.

Erik Stock leads the UConn offense with a .475 batting average that features eight multi-hit games this season. The UConn center fielder is riding a 21-game hit streak.

Austin Peterson will get the ball on Friday and is fifth in the nation with 33 strikeouts on the year. Sunday's starter, Enzo Stefanoni, is tied for the best strikeout-to-walk ration with 22 strikeouts without allowing a walk.

Pepperdine is 8-4 on the season with a home series sweep against Villanova to open the season. The Waves recorded a road sweep against Cal State Fullerton last weekend. John Peck leads the offense with a .364 AVG with two doubles, two triples, three homers and 14 RBIs.
