Kevin O'Neil Inks Deal with South Carolina in ECHL

STORRS, Conn. - UConn grad student Kevin O'Neil (Latham, N.Y.) signed with the South Carolina Stingrays of the ECHL, joining fellow Huskies Jonny Evans and Carter Turnbull with the club. The Stingrays are the ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Washington Capitals and the AHL's Hersey Bears.
O'Neil joined the Huskies this season after a three-year playing career at Yale University. O'Neil played in all 36 games collecting 16 points on six goals and 10 assists. He had a pair of game-winning goals and was a +9 for the season.
In his four-year collegiate career, he appeared in 130 total games, scoring 23 goals and passing out 37 assists. Â
