No. 18 HookC Heads to Dunkin' Donuts Park To Play Marist

STORRS, Conn. - For the first time since 2019, the No. 18 UConn baseball team (24-7, 3-0 BIG EAST) will play a ballgame at Dunkin' Donuts Park in Hartford. The Huskies will host Marist on Tuesday, April 12 at 6:05 p.m.
UConn is coming off a weekend sweep of St. John's to open BIG EAST play. The sweep closed out a 5-0 week that featured 70 runs from the UConn offense and a pitching staff that logged two shutouts and gave up just one run against Merrimack.
With the 5-0 week the Huskies are now ranked in five of the six Division I baseball polls. The highest the Huskies are ranked is 14 by Perfect Game.Â
The Huskies square off against Marist (16-10) for the fifth time in program history. UConn is 4-0 all-time against the Red Foxes but have not played since May 14, 2017.
Erik Stock earned BIG EAST Player of the Week honors for the second time this season by hitting .526 (10-19) with 11 runs batted in, 11 runs scored, three home runs and walked four times. The UConn outfielder leads the BIG EAST with a .421 AVG.
Korey Morton and Pat Gallagher earaned BIG EAST weekly honor roll honors with Morton going 11-14 (.786) with five runs scored, seven runs batted in, three doubles and one home run.Â
Gallagher shined with a complete game shutout against St. John's. The right hander secured the first complete game shutout for UConn since Tim Cate did it in 2017.
