No. 15 HookC Faces UMass and Boston College

STORRS, Conn. - The No. 15 UConn baseball team (28-7, 6-0 BIG EAST) plays a pair of midweek games this week with a home game against UMass on Tuesday, April 19 at 3:05 p.m. and at Boston College on Wednesday, April 20 at 7 p.m. on ACC Network.
The Huskies are riding a nine-game win streak entering the week and are now ranked No. 15 in the most recent D1Baseball.com poll. UConn are also ranked by Perfect Game (No. 8), Collegiate Baseball (No. 14), USA Today/ Coaches Poll (No. 16) and NCBWAÂ (No. 13).
The Huskies host a UMass team that has already eclipsed its win total from 2021 (13-30) with a 16-12-1 mark and are currently tied for second in the Atlantic-10 standings. UConn and UMass have been playing each other since 1900 with the Huskies owning a 94-71-3 advantage.
UConn travels to Boston College for the first time since 2018 on Wednesday night and are looking to avenge a March 29th loss at Elliot Ballpark, 5-3.Â
The Huskies are currently tied for 6th in the country with a .800 win percentage and rank second in the nation with 17 road victories on the year.Â
Erik Stock is having an All-American campaign ranking seventh in Division I with a .423 batting average, eighth with 60 hits, 17th in total bases with 102. Not to mention ranking Top-50 in the country in slugging percentage (34) and doubles (32).
