No. 15 HookC Has 12-Game Win Streak Snapped

STORRS, Conn. - The No. 15 UConn baseball team (31-8, 7-1 BIG EAST) had its 12-game win streak snapped with a 4-1 loss to Villanova on Saturday afternoon at Elliot Ballpark.
The Wilcats scored a pair of runs in the first and third innings to take a 4-0 lead.Â
Pat Gallagher settled in and delivered 6.2 innings of work, gave up three earned, zero walks and struck out eight.
Garrett Coe pitched 1.2Â scoreless innings out of the pen while Devin Kirby got a double play ball to pitch 0.2 innings of shutout ball.
The UConn offense did not plate a run until an RBI single in the eighth inning for Erik Stock.
Matt Donlan was the only Husky to record a multi-hit effort.Â
The Huskies will look to earn a series win on Sunday, April 24 at 1:05 p.m. in the rubber game of the series.
